Posting Rules and Guidelines

Rules and Posting Guidelines:

First and foremost, this forum is currently hosted by Proboards. In addition to our rules and posting guidelines, please follow their rules, which are as follows:
1. Content must comply in a manner consistent with any and all applicable laws of the US Federal Government.
2. The web site may not contain content promoting the use of illegal drugs, alcohol, sex, pornography, nudity, or any other form of adult content, profanity, hate, "spam," fraud, racism, mlm, pyramid schemes, or promote any illegal activity.
3. The message board and Web site must be in English.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to go to http://www.proboards.com/Information-Terms_of_Service.html .

This is a forum for you, and for your interests. We would really hate to censor, so we have several guidelines of our own. Please follow these so that no one is offended, things run smoothly, and the forum can be maintained...

Rules:
1. No flaming of board members or any authoritative figures. Flaming is when you insult or abuse another person. Please treat each other with respect, and remember that everyone has different opinions. Debates can be fun, but please keep it civil!
2. No obscenities. Links to other sites/boards inappropriate for ages 13 and below must be accompanied by appropriate warnings and ratings. NO extreme use of swearing or sexual comments. It might not bother you, but it does bother others.
3. Make sure a thread or subject does not already exist before creating one. To do this, use the search function. Also, do not ask repetitive questions that have already been answered.
4. No spamming (posting the same topic in more than one forum, or when you post the same thing over and over in the same topic), harrassment, or ‘post very *friendly* personting’ (posting one word or short phrases that do not relate to the discussion for the purpose of increasing post count). Doing these will be cause for banning.
5. Do not post "chat" topics (topics that aren't about a specific subject, but are to just chat back and forth with a friend). If you want to do this, please use a chat room, PM system, or email.
6. For posting your fanfiction, words, literature, poetry, etc.: Nothing inappropriate for ages 13 and under, and no plagiarizing.

Posting Guidelines:
1. If you don’t have anything positive to say, don’t say it at all. We encourage honest reviews of work, but give supportive criticism. Bashing is not tolerated, and the post may be deleted by the moderator.
2. Do not hotlink to images from other sites unless you have permission from the owner: hotlinking is considered bandwidth theft.
3. Please credit your sources. It’s only fair.
4. Keep the webspeak to a minimum. It can be very hard to decipher what exactly is the point. Please spell out your words completely. Not everyone will understand what "Sk8", "cum" and other abbreviations mean!, although Common abbreviations like LOL are allowed.Please have respect for everyone. Talk so others understand you. If you don't follow this rule you will not only be ignored by some people, you will also lose their respect.
5. Respect your fellow posters.

***We reserve the right to edit and or remove offensive, inappropriate or plain old nonsense riddled posts at any time and without notice. We may also place members on moderation without notice, should it become necessary. These rules and guidelines may be revised from time to time at our discretion.
